my 2 year old pro owned ($63,000 CAD new) truck has a hole where the hood light should be. What’s the deal with that?
Nothing on amazon Canada. Any suggestions? Obviously want as bright as possible and led.

Ugh that's super annoying. Chrysler might be a cheaper route to be honest. It'***** and miss with that stuff sometimes. I'll scan Amazon.

56021441AC, 68090861AA are the factory numbers for the harness and light.
Amazon.com has them but more $$ than eBay. Sometimes living in Canada sucks! Shipping kills us.

Try your local dealer. Some carry them in stock or will order and that may be cheaper for you ! Also if you get the kit mine like a lot of others had the glove box light switch and light !

So anyone in the same boat as me, I did a google search of just the part number,
and one came up right away from Mopar Canada. It’s like $24 CAD and shipping was about that again. Figured it’s worth $50, so I ordered it and then realized I should be patient and check the dealership tomorrow. Oh well.
I’m going to amazon the led bulb for it too.

I ordered the under hood kitnlight from Amazon, used the mopar part#, it was way cheaper than anywhere else. Gos in easy, there is a plug for it on the passenger side cowl, comes with the cmas tree fasteners, pull the hood liner back route and done. Did mine in a parking lot.

what site exactly did you to? i searched mopar parts canada finding a ton of different sites that look like the real deal. one has the light but the number for harness is coming up as a vapour canister solenoid harness...another has the light for 27 and the harness for 36. so nowhere near 24 bucks. I need a link please!

It ended up falling through. I got an email the other day saying sorry the item is not available. I ended up calling my local dealership and apparently I’m supposed to have one in my truck so I’m going to get one free of charge next week (hopefully)

nice! does it show on your build sheet? i gave up on the online searches as i kept on running into unsecure mopar sites even though i was at the cart. be damned if i'm going to buy anything through sites like that. I'll call the dealer. i don't think i saw a light on my build sheet but i have the setup for it.

Apparently it’s on the build sheet according to my vin.
They need to see it for themselves but according to Chrysler it’s still covered under a parts warranty I have for like 2 more months.

well, i called my dealer and tried the have a cutout and connector, should have had a light, right? nope. It would have been on my vin sheet. He said I will give you a deal though and sell the harness, light and replacement fastener to you for 76 canadian plus tax! such a deal.

NOPE.

I have an led flashlight bar that i've lived with until now. I'll keep using it.

Boosted posted a LED panel swap for the hood light

Now- to take that a step further, couldn't you also take the connect he soldered in and connect up a bigger strip or series of strips? I don't know if the hood light is mixed with other things on the fuse block but it seems like it might work.

My buddy has LED strip lights under his hood, damn thing is light up like a neon sign after dark, another buddy replaced the factory bulb with an LED bulb set-up,that was a straight plug-n-play swap, and it's alot better then the stock bulb,i forget where he got the bulb from though
