No Uconnect features?

On my 2015 1500 Express I converted from the basic RA2 to a RA3. But when I called the uconnect help desk, I was told I could not access the features ( pandora, app store, etc etc) Because my truck was not equipped with the Uconnect from the factory. Did I just waste my money or is there a solution to my problem? I'm sure there is a thread on this subject but I can't seem to pinpoint it. Any help would be great

Nope unconnect can’t activate a radio that’s in a truck that didn’t come from the factory with the radio. You really aren’t missing anything by not having it... I think you can’t even get the Pandora app anymore as they removed I believe.
