No sympathy here. I think all of the new GM trucks look like crap. Designs look Asian to me, not domestic. Interiors are terribly cheap as well.

Yea not saying i would switch as i still love the rams just cant figure out the grill

Interesting, I was never a fan of the 4th gen rebel. Likewise, I haven’t been a fan of 5th gens, until I saw the new Rebel.

Well, IMHO I know the new grilles on the MY new RAMS not work for everybody, but wat the heck is GM doing with those Big Plastic Bug Scoopers they got on the new Chevy's. Imagine running in South Florida thru Bug Ville? OMG. Just IMHO..................

I thought the same about the TrailBoss. Honestly, the Ram dealers here suck. If you are going from a Laramie to TrailBoss you will be disappointed. The TrailBoss is an LT that adds leather and a sunroof. There are so many little things missing it sucks. YOu can;t get ventilated seats in a TrailBoss or a power passenger seat.

I like the look of the Trail Boss so I went a test drove one. That's all it took to get me right back to the Ram dealer. While I don't think my new Ram is the best looking truck on the market, I do think it is the best truck overall. And the interior is hands down the best looking.

You're under no obligation (NONE, WHATSOEVER!!hg) to keep it. Just tearing it off would be a huge improvement. And once that's done, you can make it even better with commonly available aftermarket stuff, or go wild and make something up on AutoCad and have someone 3D print it for you.

Read recently that GM & Chevy have a big overall planned for their interiors designed to give the other truck makers a run for their money. I've got to admit I like the exteriors of the Sierra AT4 & Silverado Trailboss but their interior haven't really changed since the 2000's.

Agreed. If you don't like that exact grille just grab an aftermarket and swap it out. No reason not to get a new truck because of the grille imo.

Yeah and since that Rebel doesn’t have that Active Grille Shutter System, finding an aftermarket grille to your liking is one of the easiest mods you’ll ever do, other than cost.

I’ve sometimes thought about replacing the grille on my Limited to something more to my liking, maybe with the built in off-road LED light bar for those desolate highways at night but from what I gathered, there’s not a whole lot out there that works with the AGS and deleting that just to accommodate a new grille is out of the question.

Then dip into the aftermarket for one that better suits you.

But on another note, I didn’t really consider the Rebel as a “high-end” truck- figured those were the Laramies, Laramie Longhorns and the Limiteds. All that Rebel is, is just a toned-down half-ton version of the Power Wagon.

Sure, it comes with an extra inch of ground clearance, a transfer case that’ll actually take you somewhere, heavier off-road tires and like zero chrome to get scratched or tarnished but certainly by no means a “high-end” truck.

I liked the look of my '15 Sport grill, and kept meaning to take it off so I could remove the AGS but never got around to it. Even with a 185° thermostat the temp would go up over 200 on the highway.

Well yeah, because that thermostat was trying the cool the motor down too much and the AGS was trying to compensate for it by closing itself off...lol.

Earlier in the summer I removed all but the lower and upper louvers in mine in hopes to make it run a little cooler(which it did by a few degrees) without actually deleting mine but I’m afraid I’m just gonna just have to put them back in since I’m not planning to puta cooler stat in because I have noticed now that it’s cold that it does take a lot longer for my truck to warm up.

Nothing should be going through the rad until it's up to temp. Of course, you WILL have a bit more airflow over the outside of the engine but I can't imagine that making a noticeable difference.
