Hello all. I have been a member for several years and frequented this Forum quite a bit. That was when I got my first RAM, a 2014 Longhorn 1500 (hence my Forum name). I did many upgrades to the truck to make it a good tow vehicle for our 9,000 pound 30 foot Airstream trailer. The truck did a commendable job pulling the trailer. As many of you can probably guess, it was difficult to keep the payload within the trucks limits. We do not pack light when we camp. On one trip, we rolled over a farm truck scale in Oregon. The rear axle was sitting at around 4,600 pounds, the axles are rated at 3,800 pounds. That's when I realized it was no use and we needed to upgrade our tow vehicle, even though we really loved it. Well, we recently sold our '14 and purchased a 2019 Longhorn 2500 CTD. Have not towed with it yet, but am looking forward to it. The new (to us) truck is a beauty. Delmonico red/walnut brown two tone. It has most of the options available. So, here are some pictures, old and new truck.
