I just got the 430 RBZ radio for my truck and just had to get the C3 VES harness that plugs into the back ($30 ish). I just need to finish the wiring to see what happens. Let me know what you do/find out.

Don't you have to go to the dealer and get the feature flashed into the system?

Yes, for the oem camera kit it requires dealer flash or you can use aftermarket camera with lockpick(no flash required)

I've seen the OEM cam and harness selling on eBay for less, but you still have to pay the dealer for flashing it to work even if you install it yourself. That's why I went with the Lockpick. Cheaper and gives you more options for things like cam, Nav and DVD operation in gear, multiple cams and more video/audio inputs/outputs. It will also allow the addition of headrest monitors if that's of interest.

Yeah I've seen them go on ebay for about 200 bucks! You'll pay more in getting it flashed by the dealer

For $500 you could get a bad ass aftermarket double din screen and a rear view.

Order your radio and everything online, install yourself. Save.

Idk I don't trust myself with all that wiring cause the person at the stereo shop said I needed 3 adapters(I'm guessing steering wheel and antenna since those were like $20 each and then another that's like $90) and they would be have to be spliced in and soldered

I did lockpic and cam from ebay drilled the hole in tailgate handle did it all myself about 350 between lockpic and cam. Works great plus I can now input nav when in motion and watch movies.

Lock Pick and aftermarket cam. Its all plug n play. No soldering. Best deal. I looked into OEM, asked all the same questions. OEM cam, install and flash is more expensive and thats all you get. Lock Pick/aftermarket cam, cheaper and gives you tons of options. I hardwired my Garmin to the Lock Pick, installed rear cam and front cam and now I can run the DVD while in motion. Still leaves openings for rear monitors etc. Lock Pick is super easy to install and every wire is labeled to tell you exactly where to put it and what it is for. The directions are detailed and they have support if you need it. Cam is easy to install as well. Follow the DIY install instructions on this forum. If you are going to spend the money get all the options. even if you don't utilize them now at least they are there. And by not buying your truck with it off the lot, your not financing a back up cam :)

can you tell me where you got this system. I have a base non-touch radio on 2012 ram big horn. I want to add the backup camera. Looking at a used 430rbz price is $ 500, then cost of camera... I also looked for other brands and they seem to be priced at $ 700 for just the radio???
