I bought some OEM bed lights for my 2021 3500 CCLB but the harness came up a little short, probably due to the 8' bed. I have a bed cover which makes it quite dark inside.

Anyways... because of the difficulty reaching/splicing the under-dash portion of the wiring point I would prefer a simpler setup. Can the OEM lights be modified to use the existing switch and a hot wire for a simple on/off option? I don't wish to waste what I've already bought.

Thanx!

I ended up using the hot and ground in the 7 pin harness. Its already wired to the rear of the bed.

The OEM harness has three connections... one is ground, one goes under the dash and one to the engine bay. Any idea which does what?

I'm all the way to step 36 in the install of my OEM bed lights, but can't for the life of me figure out what is the correct connector block as the instructions only illustrate the 1500 and 2500 (although I understood the 2500 and 3500 to be almost identical). Any insight is appreciated. Thank you.
