Quick update .I had my truck in with the dealership for transmission service and they ended up flashing new program to the TCM as well as The PCM. The truck was back to stock for all the BCM settings .
The push to start system had no issues after I got my truck back from the dealer .

Whats the total cost of your set-up including the handles?

I bought the kit from autotech electronic .
I did mine in two stages .
Added the front handles last and ended up paying more going that route as needed a new harness from them .
I got my handles From my local dealership .
If I could go back would just do everthing in one shot .
Less the 200 odd bucks for the second harness.
I got the basic kit with remote start
Ready .
It’s not cheap .

On there website it shows it being
1359 .
That is what I have Except I got my own handles with chrome,painted white .
Auto tech said they can get door handles to match your existing rear door handles .

LMAO....yeah I figured it wasn't cheap. I saw the prices on their site when I began this thread, but I was hoping they's work on the prices if you were serious about buying.

Yep when I bought my door handles from the dealership they were just south of 400 Canadian .
So just the parts alone aren’t cheap to begin with .
I guess the warranty and tech support all plays into part with the cost .
I agree it’s a lot of money regardless at the end of the day.

Does these kits include all required wiring harnesses? Even the kits that include the remote start? I have a 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 without remote start and am seriously thinking about this upgrade.

Mine came with the harness for the push to start kit,antennas and the door handles .
The RF hub I got was the one with remote start enabled and antenna .
I was able to make my own Harness for the hood latch and bought the hood latch from the dealership locally .
I didn’t want to buy the bcm from auto tech as they enable the remote start code in the bcm they send out .

I would just get the dealership to add the remote start code to your truck when you have it all installed etc .

I was able to turn on remote start to present with AE and it works just fine .I don’t recommemd this route .When using AE people have made notes here with some serious corruption after using that tool .
I must have been lucky so far .
Fingers crossed .

I would call autotech electronic and get a quote from them and some undertaking from them .

Just make sure to get the remote start ready kit with the antenna and In any case get the dealer to install the code to allow the hardware to remote start the truck .

Got a reply back and they say their kits include all needed wiring harnesses and they send you something the flash your Existing BCM with the needed codes. I’m guessing it’s similar to the OBD genie. Looks like I might go with their kit that includes remote star and do it all at once.

They said they actually add the code to a bcm and also get it added to your vehicle build though WIC.
That way it stays in the vehicle after vehicle service etc .
So must be a new bcm they send to you .

I see that the premium kit# 10 has a BCM in the picture. Does that have to be replaced and if so what about other options that have been flashed to the original BCM? we send you a tool to flash your existing BCM

Isn’t the whole purpose of getting the new bcm is to avoid doing that ?
My question is are they actually sending you a new bcm ?or are they sending you a tool to turn the remote start to present and then they are adding that option to your build sheet via WIC so that it stays when they do service work etc .

Yes, they told me on the phone this morning that they supply all required parts, harnesses, and BCM updates for each specific upgrade they offer.
