I don't have any experience with Ram 1500 OEM cameras, so I'm not sure what I can expect for image quality.

I'm going through my new to me '14 Big Horn and correcting issues as I find them.

The image is there and stable, but is "washed out" with not a lot of contrast. Resolution is adequate but the entire image just seems to be "grayed out."

I'm tempted to drop in a new camera but maybe this is the best I can expect? They don't exactly give away the cameras for these things.

You should first check to see if your radio firmware is up to date. Image quality has varied noticeably between firmwares.

In addition, the camera is capable of a better image than the older radios are capable of displaying. Upgrading to a newer UAS or UAQ radio will likely yield the best results.
