So I installed ARH long tubes last week, install was smooth except for the dipstick. I chopped of the lower mounting bracket with a dremel tool, and forced out a couple of hernias trying to pull the dipstick out of its hole. Once it came time to reinstall it, I had no issues bending it and getting it into the right place. My problem is having it seat firmly back into its hole. It doesn’t want to go, I even tried grinding around the tip of the dipstick to try to have it fit better. Right now I have it resting loosely in it’s hole and I have the upper bracket attached to the strut tower. Any tips on reinstalling the dipstick? How much of an issue is not having a dipstick? Thanks

When I did my exhaust manifold bolts, I had to LIGHTLY clamp a pair of small curved-jaw vise grips to the tube just above where the tube enters the block, and tap them upward to remove the tube.

Installation was the same. I did not notice any difference installing the tube back into the block, just tapped the vise-grips downward until the tube was fully seated into the block.
