Concerning my oil leak, I got my truck back yesterday.

FROM THE INVOICE:

Fluid Leak Concern (Customer states oil leaking from front end of vehicle)

Tech 753 confirmed concern, determined source of engine oil leaking from right rear cylinder head core plug. Added bearing mounting sealant, reinstalled plug, cleaned affected area of oil, set oil level to spec, test drove vehicle, verified repair, no return of fault.

So what it comes down to is quality control. Someone at the factory in Saltillo, Mexico didn’t install the core plug properly and didn’t care enough to do it right.

I will say that from the purchase all the way through the warranty service, I received nothing but courtesy and respect from the team at Blake Fulenwider Automotive in Clyde, TX. I was called sir at every turn and everyone always greeted me and spoke to me with a smile. They furnished a loaner for me right off of the new car lot without batting an eye. I recommend them highly.

In the meantime I’m enjoying my American Dodge, German Daimler, Italian Fiat, French Stellantis Ram truck built in Mexico. That’s quite a lineage, for sure.

Considering these trucks roll off the assembly line at about 1 a minute and there's multiple of these plugs on a single engine, you don't see this forum littered with complaints of leaks like this which makes the quality control percentage well within the good side.

Since I do not want to make a stereotyped thought or disrupt the vehicle's lineage, which Gas Company you gonna use to feed the ride? LOL... :33::angels25::anitoof:

Well the certified technician said he sees this issue more than he should.

any update on this?
I should have posted this earlier but the oil leak on my 2024 Ram 2500 wasn’t a leak at all. I did an initial oil change at a Valvoline oil change center at 400 miles and the boneheaded service person spilled oil all over the top of my engine and it had puddled underneath the manifold, slowly blowing out a little every day which gave the impression of a leak. The dealer diagnosed this and cleaned it out as best they could without pulling the manifold. Kudos to them. Bone dry ever since.

And this is why, unless I am in an EXTREME time crunch, I don't use those quick-lube places.
