I originally posted this in the general 4th gen forum, but it probably belongs here...
I've recently completed quite a few mods, including a 180 degree thermostat w/fan delete, mild cam (HL .5) from Jay Greene, LT no cat headers, and switched to Redline 5w30 last week.
Trouble is, and I'm not sure it's a problem which is why I'm asking, the oil temp doesn't get above 212 degrees anymore! I'm hovering in the 200-208 range, with my normal 45 mile daily commute on a mix of highway and back roads. Is it harmful to not boil off the water that condensates in your oil over time? I'm sure with some spirited driving and hotter days I'll get it over, just pondering here and seeing what input you may have.
Oil pressure has been steady at 50 @ idle and 55-60 depending on how much throttle during normal driving (normally 55). Coolant temps run in the 190-195 range, transmission about the same with spikes up to over 200.
