That's awesome! Congrats on your new addition as well.

It will slow me down but, it won't keep me out of the garage for good. The wife knows better.

Thanks Eezy..

I always said I wanted a boy to share my hobbies with and stuff. But at this point I just want it to have all its fingers and toes, whatever it is. Ultimately, I'd like to have one of each. But preferably a big brother to handle up on all the lil dudes messing with his lil sister..... So I don't go to jail for it lol

I have that exact scenario. The boy at 12 and the girl at 10 and he has definitely taken the protector role. Not planned of course. Really, I blame Anheiser Busch for the boy and D.G. Yuengling and sons for the girl. I wonder if I could get them to kick in support, perhaps a college fund? ;)

Congrats Again!

I felt the same way. I have 2 girls, 9 & 7 now. My 9 yo works in the woodshop with me, loves trucks and heavy bass music. Sure it might not always be like this but a guy can hope. Just saying that healthy is all that really matters... And love them like they are the best thing that ever happened to you.

Well, it looks like no sports, bass, hobbies or wrestling for me. I have a girl... So I guess I'll be going to the mall, Bath and Body Works, building doll houses and shooting boys. :roflsquared:

Now that this thread went all soft and sappy, lmao, here is my 3 year old.

David you can still do wrestling. My sister was a Wisconsin state champ for women's wrestling at 112lbs. USA wrestling allows women to wrestle freestyle and Greco roman in national championships against men. Just saying they can do all the cool stuff too.

I'm a (sort of) new RAM owner and just finished reading the entire thread. I have a few ideas but figured I'd seek out some of you that have progressed on your builds a bit. Hope to play a little catch up. :)

Congrats on the upcoming addition. I have a 9 year old boy and a 4 year old girl myself...but it's my girl that technically has a car audio world championship...so don't discount that possibility. ;)

Same papasin as the DIYMA papasin? If so I'm sure we would be playing catch up with you before long. Lol. Anxious to see what you come up with.

Lol, such is life. And congrats on the second as well.

We need a RF daycare so we can keep the builds going and not have the forum become a deserted island that our kids read about in history books a few years down the road.

That's cool bro! I can hardly imagine tackling my daughter to the ground right now... lol!

Yep, same papasin. Since I already registered my Civic's plate as PAPASIN, we picked this one for the RAM. :)

We'll probably keep the RAM's audio build a simple SQ build, well, sort of at least comparatively. ;) Famous last words. Lol.

Should have something by summer time.

Fully agree. I went to my first car audio comp when my daughter hadn't turned one yet. It eventually became a family activity. Having them participate is one of the reasons I go to comps. Last year, my wife competed more than I did. :)

Got it bud. Replied

Also I finally got off my lazy **** and got some work done.

Stretching fabric rather than hand forming foam gave me much smoother and straighter lines

After a little cutting and sanding, you can see a much nicer fit and finish than before...

Now that brings me to the next issue... When I wrap it, I would have to tuck the fabric in there and the grill won't fit. So my options are to sand 1/8" or so from inside the ring or just paint it. I could texture coat it, like my sail panels, and probably find an identicalI color paint. Although I really like the suede but in order to make it work, there would need to be a seam in the fabric and I just don't know if I'm good enough to pull that off and still have it look decent. I'll have to sit on it for a few days. What are you guys thoughts?

Anyway, another round of sanding and some spot putty, and these should be ready for finishing.
