Opinion on exhaust tip

so im doing an MBRP single side exit on my EcoD. I was thinking about ditching the tip and going a little bigger, the inlet will have to be 3.5”.. was thinking about a 5” outlet.. what’s your opinion, is that too big for a 1/2 ton diesel?

5" will give a deeper rumble. I have twin 5" tips on my hemi .

After I posted this I did some digging and noticed that a lot of guys have the dual 5’s on their hemi’s so Now I’m wondering If like a single 6” is acceptable haha
