Order Delivery Time

Ordered a 2022 Ram 2500 6.4 Hemi 1/17/22. When I placed the order, dealer said around 10 weeks for delivery. On 1/31/22 I asked dealer if there were any restrictions on my order, etc…he said no, everything was good, truck had vin# and was “being built”. Curious if anyone has any insight on what that means as far as delivery time? Or is there somewhere I can track the status of my order? Thanks.

Congrats - you ordered what I settled on, except mine is previous generation. Owners report the ZF transmission much better than the Chrysler, that's the only thing I would've wanted, even though it's a PITA to change oil on (crazy Germans!). After almost 4 years with it, I'm very satisfied and would be the exact same thing. Maybe with the 3.92 axle with the RFE trans, but 3.73 is fine with the ZF trans.

Order my Ram 1500 Bighorn night addition. Already have my vin #. Order on Monday! Hope it’s a good sign I will have it in the next 10 to 12 weeks.

It does not matter which Ram you order
1500, 2500 - 5500, it does not matter except where it is built

It does not matter if it is a Tradesman or a Laramie Limited, it does not matter

What is determining timing right now is whether the Options use Microchips or not

Some things that need microchips are:

Windshield Heads Up Display
Digital Rear Mirror
360 View system
Optional Camera System
etc.

If you think that you have been waiting to long
There is a person in Australia that has been waiting for a year this month & no one at his dealership is willing to dive deep & find out why there is a hold up

Anything is possible during Covid! That is a long time. Just think, some children born when you ordered the truck are going to have more miles on them then your truck!

When I ordered mine, RAM chat would tell me things albeit not very detailed. My dealer definitely had more information, and was very happy to fill me in whenever I asked.

I also had a salesman that did not have to go ask the sales manager or his assistant about anything.
He had his own office & desktop computer with access to the Headquarters office in Auburn Michigan,
Junior salesmen have no access to DealerConnect, the only way to access Ram Headquarters is through DealerConnect.

My salesman would tell me exactly where my Ram was at any given time
I only went to see him on occasion, he even called me when the Ram left the Assembly Plant & when it was loaded on the freight train

So you need to shop your sales person
Ask the receptionist if your dealership has an Internet Sales Dept
You can find out another way, look online for Sales Team information

we ordered our 2022 2500 limited with diesel in august 2021 (night edition/Delmonico red) . came in on 2/9/22 (six months). during transport, the paint and windshield were chipped in multiple places. our choices were accept and repair or reorder, knowing the dealer would just sell to another. we opted for repairs, currently at paint shop getting corrected. go over your new delivery with fine tooth comb...
