I dont really know wtf the differences were and if Madmax was actually selling a real tonneau cover or always like this.

Super awkward, because I browsed both companies reviews on Amazon, and it seemed like the maxmate outsold the tyger like 3-1 review wise.....

The first one covers the rails so you can’t use a ladder rack and the second one sit just on inside edge of rails so you can use a rack.

Amazon ships through vendors, no? The item you ordered seems like the item you got, but drop shipped from the original vendor. Perhaps the larger items are only drop shipped, hence the "confusion, although i have compared a few things on both amazon and the vendor sites and the prices were the same.

In any event, you ordered X and were shipped Y. Both seem to meet with your approval and I doubt that Y will find or the mix up, if in fact there even was one.

I did the MaxMate on an old truck. First road trip I took, the cover got windlashed and was sloppy and didn't look good from that day. Sagged. Of course was after 30 days - but got rid of it anyways and spent the money for a backflip.

Yea i dunno wtf is going on, cuz all the pictures of the Tyger Auto one has the tyger logo on the driver side railing.

Mine has the tyger logo on the tailgate side, a little different from all the pictures.

And now looking into it more closely after SKYRAMMAN said the Tyger (2nd one) cover should be inside the bed and not on top of the bed rails as shown in the picture.

And mine are on top of the bed rails and logo is on different area, who knows if this is a knockoff since nothing makes sense now lol

Actually to me the images look identical as far as the rail coverage is concerned.

Ok I looked into this a little further, maxmate depot (seller of maxmate) also sells under these names in Amazon:

• Tyger Auto

• MaxMate

• Auto Parts Avenue

• Towtector

So yea it looks like I got what i ordered and MaxMate doesnt actually have a tonneau cover, they were just reselling Tyger Auto covers for a discount without listing it as a Tyger auto product.

But Tygers auto product descriptions doesnt match what I got:

• TYGER RoLock tonneau cover kit includes Cover & Side Rails & Free LED Light and all mounting hardware.Low profile design that results in 12% gas savings and full access to stake holes for ladder racks or side rails or tie downs

So im all confused again cuz all my stake holes are blocked

installed a Tyger on my 2017 ram 3 months ago works great easy install just flaps in the wind (can hear through rear slider when open) otherwise no noise good buy

Here are pics of mine, as you can see they dont match Tyger's description of the product at all......



Imma add a weather strip to the front side, it leaks from this entry point, they do have 1 weather strip but the bedrails sit higher due to the plastic covers vs the no cover on the front leaving a nice 1/4-1/2 opening, also scoot it forward more towards the cab prolly 1/4-1/2 inch.

That's the very same one I got. I'm good with it but It did take me a few times of adjusting to get it set right. I used the weather striping they sent and the bed at the cab. I didn't put any on the tailgate and I'm not having any issues with water getting in.

Off to home depot next week after all this rain....... i installed it last night and its showers all week long oh well

Also your cover is touching the cab or just sitting as far forward but still flush with the bed?

Mine is kinda even with the front of the plastic side rail caps in your 1st 2 pictures.

Grabbed a pic today. This is where I line mine up and it seals well at the tailgate and the front of the bed. No leaks so far and even in heavy rain I have no worries about hauling stuff back there.

weird yours has fancy clips, mine has cheapo thread loops....

your corner also has extra stitching in that corner, mine has 1 stitch.....

im so confused..... i seriously think i got a fake knockoff...... your 1 pic screams better quality from the extra stitches and the lock clip....

I did wonder about yours because I didn't see clips in the pic. I went back and checked my order and I think they're the same. I even got a cover bag for storage when it's not on the truck.
