what would be the difference? im kinda new to this

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer. Its is parts made by the folks who made your vehicle. They tend to be more expensive, but are made specifically for your vehicle, come with a decent warranty, and are of good quality.

Aftermarket = parts made by anyone else. Price, quality, warranty, fit, etc. are all over the board because it encompasses so many manufacturers. You can get some better prices for quality goods, but do your research.

Sometimes it's a preference thing - OEM is designed to go with the vehicle where aftermarket tends to be designed to go with a wide variety of vehicles - it's what you like the look of better.

Whenever shopping for flares, I found some that were definitely designed with Chevy trucks in mind but I also found some that I almost bought because they looked awesomeon the Ram.

I ended up buying OEM because of the guaranteed quality and the fact the equipment was designed specifically for the truck.

I didn't buy OEM floor liners and will buy aftermarket window and bug deflector.

Definitely try to buy through clicking on links provided by this forum as the purchases help to support this forum.

The most important part is to HAVE FUN MODDING
