I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 with the overhead compass, temperature, and trip computer. I noticed that the bulb that illuminates the lettering US/M and RESET was burned out. I thought it would be easy to find the replacement, but I was wrong. I have access to Mopar's Star parts and found the page with the module and it does not list the bulbs, it lists the map light bulbs but not the ones in the module. So I measured the base of the mini bulb and it is 8.5mm. It is not the same as the bulbs that illuminate the Air Conditioning controls or the same as the instrument cluster bulbs. I have also looked in the manual and it doesn't list these bulbs. I have ordered some Dorman bulbs that look similar but with no luck. Has anyone ever found out a part number for these. Thanks Star.jpgBulb.jpg

Did you find the part number for this? I use a Dorman part number from O'Reilly's for these bulbs and I order them online from Amazon in bulk when I need them.

The Dorman part number is 639-008

I changed the climate control bulbs to a suitable LED bulb. they worked great for a week and now no lights on this unit?
I put a MM across the pads and there is no voltage there now? I checked the LEDs and one was dead but the other 2 were still good? Is it possible that I fried the bulb circuit in this module by using LEDs?

Come on Dodge could you be more rude. WHY different bulbs for Dash/Climate/Compass display backlights. The Dorman 639-008 that Fast69Mopar stated looks a little different but I'm about to order some to try them out
