Overheating

I just replaced my thermostat and fluid. Now my 5.7 Hemi is overheating. Any ideas why?

System could be air bound, or the thermostat is bad out of the box.
Leave the radiator cap off and check the coolant level as the vehicle warms up. I think there is a bleed port on the Hemi that is used to bleed air from the system, someone who knows the location should chime in

Ok guys, now that I have burped the system my heater is not working. I checked the passenger side floorboard and it’s dry. Anyone have any ideas what may be causing my heat to not work? I have noticed my temp gauge is not coming to the middle like it used to. It stops about an 8th of an inch from center now.

You may very well still have air in the system. With the engine warmed up fell both heater hoses at the heater core connection to see if they are both warm/hot. If not, there is still air in the cooling system or the new thermostat is possibly stuck.

Also, did you check to see if the new thermostat was the same temperature as the one you removed? If the new one is a cooler temp that could explain why the temp gauge reads cooler.

t- stat good?i always ck. mine on the stove first.air in system or maybe doors in hvac box.also correct anti freeze mix,its the water that does the cooling not the antifreeze
