My truck is throwing O2 codes and I am looking at ordering new sensors. What is the difference between upstream left and upstream right? And which one does my 96 5.2 need?

You only need one upstream, so whatever you're looking at is weird. Unless you have Cali-emissions, that is, and even then I don't know if the Cali trucks had two O2s.

Thanks, I looked underneath and there is only one. Also figured out why it's throwing a code, the top is broken off lol. I also found a random vacuum line coming from the top of the transmission with a metal fixture on the end with a mounting hole that is disconnected, no idea what that ran to...
