Updated my cluster from a 14 to a 17 both the 7" evic but now the Park icon is blinking continuously. Everything seems to be working fine other than not being able to program my mileage and stuff but thats probably user error. Im more concerned with the blinking light. Has anyone encountered this and if so please help. Id like to keep this new cluster for the Sport startup screen.

Thanks in advance.

It's a known issue. Apparently, only those that have seen older and newer 7" clusters are aware of it. Many just assumed it was a feature of newer clusters (including myself). I did come across someone stating a dealership flash fixed it for them.

It doesnt appear to be hurting anything. Not sure if there is a longterm effect but ima run with it. Well if i can figure out how to change the mileage and stuff. Followed the guru from here and on youtube but not working for me.

Have you tried programming it by only turning the key "1 click"?

How long has it been blinking? Im ok with it just as long theres no long term effects. Appreciate you.
LER- It has been blinking since the first time I ever installed it. When I first got it I put it in to see if it would light up...Blinking “P”. Changed the hours (only thing Alfa could do at the time)...still Blinking “P”. Sent it out to Ramit2016 to get the miles changed (before Alfa could do it) and when it came back...Blinking “P”.
If the shift is not fully in P or R all the letters turn yellow. I think there might be some other colors in there too but I haven’t used my truck much since early February.

I've had two different instrument clusters in my 14 1500 one from an 18 and 17 and they have both have the blinking "P" icon. The seller of the 17 said that he has seen it before and said it has to do with the AutoPark functionality and requires a software flash from the dealer. Haven't yet taken it to the dealer, but as other have said it doesn't seem to cause any other issues. Next oil change I will have the dealer take a look.
