Wanting to replace the 4 6x9 door speakers and throw in 2 12s under the backseat. Already have the box for the subs. Trying to decide what brand for everything. While going to the local places to find out prices for brands and installations, I've ran into a few problems. The first place said they could do what I want, but they are overcharging and they have horrible reviews in terms of instillation quality and customer service. 2nd place said they refused to touch my radio system because of the way the factory system is wired. The 3rd place said they could add an amp and do the 2 subs, but couldn't do door speakers and a sub for them because it would screw with call audio and a multitude of other things due to the factory radio having several vehicle controls in the display. I've seen a few threads on this forum about people doing their own installations so I'm curious how they managed to do these replacements/modifications while the "professionals" at these local shops say it's not possible. Anyone have any advice?
