I'm having a problem that I can't figure out. 2002 ram 1500, Factory everything. High beam only on the passenger side isn't working and I changed my headlight bulb (tried more than one). High beam indicator still works, so I'm not sure what the problems is.

Anyone have similar problems? I was thinking of changing the light socket by just cutting it off and rewiring the new one.

Thanks

Also, not sure if I'm in the right section of the forum.

I would lean towards a wiring problem.

I would put the High Beams "ON", and validate on the driver side which wires are powered with a simple tester. Then validate on the passenger side if you have current on the same wires. If not then you will have to find where the breakpoint is. can be corrosion at the connector level, but it can be a broken or cut off wire anywhere between the light and the IPDM since the lights are activated through a relay.

The IPDM is the fuse box located on the driver side of the engine compartment. Wires most probably go from the IPDM through the driver side light and then move on to the passenger side through some frame rail (inside or along the outside).

Hope this helps.
