Hi guys I'm new to the group and trying to see if anyone else had this problem or maybe you can point me in the right direction I have a 1998 Dodge ram 1500 4 x 4 with the 5.2L automatic and the problem that I am having is my truck is shorting out new and used PCMS I have put brand new ones in the truck. I got from advance Auto parts and it has the correct Vin the correct mileage everything's great then all of a sudden truck just shuts off when driving and it Fry's the pcm it's throwing the code out 920 921 999 I was thinking that there's a wire shorting out somewhere but has anyone ever had this problem and can anyone point me in the right direction

Sounds like you have a shorted wire harness somewhere, I don't know how electrically inclined you are, but check all the cables going to the PCM. One or more are probably grounded or shorted against each other. Over time the plasitic devices holding cables in place either break or get cut, fixing one problem or another, and end up melting against the hot engine or exhaust, or other wires!
