Ive gotten the mods im gonna stay with for a long while now. (SIG)

I recently uploaded the 93 Tune Sean sent me to use to data log. It does feel stronger than the 93 canned tune but i understand its not optimized to its full potential (i think)

I went out today to test my 0-60MPH using the Trinity with traction control off and slightly power braking. Went 6.93 and 6.94 on 2 runs. Tried again with traction control on and went 7.2 and 7.1. Then another run with traction control off and no power brake just stomp and with a lot of wheel spin went 7.2

Yesterday i did the data log and did a 0-75mph as instructed by Sean. Using the data logger i put the cursor at the last 0mph and clocked it using the included timer to 60mph and that took 6.76 seconds.

Did one run using the Trinity to clock 1/4 mi. Hit 15.33

Full tank of GAS and stock tires/wheels.

What do you all think? Do these results sound about right?
I dont know what it was doing stock but it does feel a lot stronger now.

It sounds pretty good. It will get alittle better with some practice. I'm pulling a 6.0 0-60 run in my 2wd express. Try running it in 4wheel and see what you can get that way you eliminate wheel spin

Sounds like you have an open diff. As soon as one wheel starts to spins the ECM is going to break the spinning wheel and pull power. Time for a LSD. That and your truck is HEAVY compared to a RCSB 2wd. 4.10s would be goo but thats gonna be a lot on a 4wd.

Make sure its a LSD on the window sticker or build sheet. The open diff will leave 2 tire marks with stability control kicking in. If it truely is a LSD then your gonna have to figure out how to get traction to get better times. Like airing down the rear tires.

yea its on the window sticker.

yea i figured its not gonna be that great since its a crew cab 4x4 but im just wondering if the times im seeing are typical of the mods or not.

im sure 30" sticky tires would hit the spot too :D

You could always load the stock tune and do a few runs.

My truck is a lot lighter than yours. I ran a 14.1 with the BD tuner and 3.55 open diff. I did a couple runs with the BD and 4.10s LSD and my times were slower because I couldnt get traction. Now with the HF tune and 2600 stall I have no traction till 60 mph, so Im gonna have to get some slicks and hit the track for good times.

True that ill have to give it a try. for the sake of asking, i wonder what a truck like mine did in stock form...

or maybe you could load the bed to get some traction Mike?

I dont want to say it seems slow, but i have similar mods, also in a CC but with 3.92 - no LSD, maybe a couple things more but not enough to make a huge difference i dont think. Plus im running heavy 305/55s on stock rims. My 0-60 in the log i sent to Sean was 5.7 ish secs and the 0-75 was 8.3 ish secs.

haha that would be sneaky - did you disable traction control with the tuner or button?

Theres still some traction control that kicks in with just the button, give it a shot with it disabled via tuner.

I did my logs with the 91 tune and he said it was good to go - I asked him for a 93 tune as well with the rear o2 tuned out and that was the end of it.

Im happy with the tune over the canned tunes but I feel like I could squeeze a little more out of this truck. I might look into getting the tuner from Arrington Performance.

i only run 93 on my truck and its available pretty much everywhere in TX.

The diablo tuner has the option on the list to turn off Traction Control?

I havent messed with the tuner much. Last time it drained my battery so now i unplug it, which kinda sucks because i might as well have bought the DCX and not the whole pod deal.

yeah we have 94 up here so i run that with the 93 tune all the time.

Yeah, you can disable it without re writing the tune. its under the "quick adjust" in the performance menu (I think lol)

Im in the same boat... dead battery if I forget to unplug it. Contacted diablo about it and left comments on their forum and ive received no help towards the issue besides "unplug it". Now the only time I leave it plugged in is when I go for a family free drive - when I know im gonna let er rip!

ok, ill check it out... but,

once i've removed the traction control do you still have to push the traction control button physically off? is it safe to leave it off?

nope it takes care of everything - it also disables ABS and lights up your dash like a christmas tree. I only turn it off when I go for joy rides/track day.
