I really wanted to see the final vid. but with out it. i feel there is no evidence that his cover is any different then the others.

Agreed! And if I do have a **** product I'd like to get it off the truck asap.

The fins that hang down below the axle housing could hit on a rock, snag a root, drag on a rut, collect mud and dirt. I thinks is a poor design, clearly designed for street use. I didn't see a drain plug either. It's junk imo.

Lot of speculation from you so called experts,lol. It's a well designed cover with at least a little thought put into making it actually functional. I like the fact it mimics the factory covers oiling channel,where as nobody else's covers do.I'm guessing the manufacture's have way more into engineering their covers to keep the rear diff happy and off warrenty then the majority of aftermarket cover manufacture's do. I've never been a fan of the aftermarket covers till this one,as anybody with an eye and an ******* can see they don't address oil flow to the front pinion bearing like a stock cover does.As I stated awhile ago,i'm wondering how long it takes the other guys to retrofit an oil channel into their covers

You most likely know more than I do, but I can't recall issues caused by other aftermarket diff covers.

I highly doubt you ever will,as nobody has really thought to attribute a bad pinion bearing to lack of cooling flow to it caused by an aftermarket covers poor design. The manufacture's have known about keeping the pinion bearings well lubed since the early 60's,but the aftermarket has only been concerned with adding more oil into the diff,and has never addressed the fact they might be starving the front bearing with-out directing oil to it to keep it cool and well lubed.Just because something holds more fluid,doesn't neccasserily mean it's gonna work better ,especially if it's starving bearings by not flowing a cooling and lubing median to the bearing itself. If you guys will look close,this is probably his prototype cover,as it's a machined cover,and there still might be changes to it,before they go into production.It's far cheaper to machine the prototype then it is to cast one.I'm guessing there's still more tests to come,before he spends the big bucks to have molds made up so they can be cast,as i'd think the production versions if they go into production will be a cast cover.

I'm not an expert,but have been around right angle drive gearboxes enough years to observe how oil flow or lack of oil flow to the bearings can adversely affect the life expectancy of a bearing.A diff is nothing more than a glorified right angle drive gearbox,lol

I will say this the stock cover does not have channels built into it, the banks cover does.
The Mag-Hytec does not have them either and mine is also shape very closely to the stock cover on the inside and is not square like Mr Banks states it is.
The Banks cover probably is better than the others, but I have yet to hear about trucks burning up rear ends because of the cover not channeling fluid to the pinion bearing well enough and I am sure if there were a bunch of pinion bearings burning up more than a few would have put 2 and 2 together.lol

Yeah Mag-Hytec gets the job done.....I'm sure Banks will be better....but then tech is always advancing.....the best last year not necessarily going to be the best the next year

For sure, if I did not have the one I have I would look to theirs before I bought what I have.
Just not buying his BS about mine burning up my rearend, its his sales pitch.

Better look at your stock cover,it's got a channel built in that directs oil up and over the ring gear to the front pinion bearing. What do you think that odd ball protusion in the covers face is,it's a channel to guide oil.Open your eyes up when you look at something,the power of observation is invaluable.

My cover does not have those channels in it, yes it has a big areae carved out where the ring gear is to channel fluid but not all thise groves that are in the channel on the Banks cover.

Not sure why your being a smartass about it I looked at it and seen what it looked like when I took it off.

Here is a comparison of PML vrs stock differential cover.....fairly sure the Mag is similar as in no channel....not taking mine off to find out

It is shaped more like the stock cover than the ones Banks shows on his vids.
I dont think it has a true channel but its not square like he states or like his.
