Ok, SO........

I KNOW from the research that I have done so far, that the TYC headlights are pretty much the BEST solution.

However... Im looking to save some money, and am researching the Spyder/SpecD projector housing lights.

Anyone that has them, can you post pictures of the light output? Bonus points if you have HID's installed in them, and post a pic of the output.

If you're tryin to save some money and are somewhat mechanically inclined I'd say do a retrofit.

I was debating that, but, in order to do it, I would also have to buy all of the tools to do it, plus a spare pair of quad headlamps... The cost to do it probably wouldnt outweigh the benefits...

I COULD look into a cheaper projector than the morimoto(or however you spell it) but those look to be fairly easy to install...

Plus, i cant say i care for the look of ours with a retrofit either...

I liked the way my retrofit turned out, but that permaseal was a huge pain to work with.

Yea, thats my fear, and why IF I do a retrofit, I would want to buy a second set of headlights, just in case something bad would happen during dis-assembly.

Yeah I picked up a spare set. It was an enjoyable experience but I never want to work with permaseal again. I would just send it to Jeremy at Retroshop

you guys know a decent place to get a spare set of quad lights?

Lol..

I would definitely entertain the idea of a retrofit... If i can keep it under a certain dollar amount...

I think it's safe to say any aftermarket set or above is gonna run you at least $150+.

Might get lucky on Craigslist.

How hard do you think a retrofit is going to be on the spyder lights?

I could always buy the spyders or the spec-d lights, and if i dont like the cutoff, do a retrofit on them, or attempt to haha

Hardest part imo is baking/opening the lights themselves.

Then from there all depends on how creative you wanna get.

I guess my question would be how hard are the projectors that are in there to remove, and how easy would it be to get a new one in there without dremmeling and gluing the crap out of it lol.

I may go for the spyder lights. It seems like they have the ability to not only adjust up and down, but left and right. Spec-d only seems to have up and down, and if the alignment is off from left to right, that would make things annoying...

No matter what headlights it is. The PITA part is getting them un sealed.

2015 Sport, stock projectors with Retroshop 50W HID kit. I am happy with them.
