Just score it off of eBay. Super excited, just what i was looking for in a headunit. I do have a couple of noob questions though I was hoping I could get schooled on about the install. i scooped a double din dash kit, is any thing else i need? Do I need a wiring harness or is it plug an play? Also it has the parking brake safety feature, how do I bypass that, just wire it to my cig outlet? Thanks homies

Most likely you'll need a pac chy4 interface module to get it to work. A couple members with express model trucks have been able to use just a regular wiring harness and got it to work. You will have to trim some of the metal bracing in the dash where the radio goes to get it to fit. Don't worry you'll never see it once everything is put back together

That interface module is just for steering wheels controls right? I do have an express w/ no steering controls. So I should be good??? What about the parking brake?

It's not for the steering controls it's designed to trick the truck to think it has the stock stereo in it. The parking break I'll have to look into. I know it's not hard I don't remember off hand

These trucks have a can-buss system so you need the special wiring harness to get the proper outputs like switched power. You can get one for $45 or so on ebay or Amazon.

For the parking brake you'll either have to attach it to the parking brake wire like in the instructions or get one of these:

Anyone verify the Axxess XSVI-6522-NAV will work with the 2012 Express with the low end radio?? It was recommended by Sonic but when I checked with Metra the RAM wasn't listed??

I'm jealous. I had a brand new Pioneer BT930 in my last truck. Put it in the wife's car as my 14 has the uconnect 8.4 crap in it.
Next truck I'm getting the lowest end radio and putting in a Pioneer deck.
