not "stickers", but like a hubcap that is glued to the wheel.

since the chrome clads are plastic couldnt you just use something like the krylon fusion paint that is designed to adhere to plastic? i am thinking about trying to paint my wheels this morning. i had thought about the plati dip route but i really would rather have the gloss black versus the matte!

One of the benefits that everyone points out about using Plasti-Dip is if you decide you don't like it you can just peal it back off. But if you know for sure that you want black rims there are lots of other options that I think would look better.

If you pull the "chrome" plastic piece off there is a lot of glue ugliness underneath. It would probably take a lot of work to get that cleaned up, but if you did then powder coating would be an option. Several guys have powder coated metal rims and it looks great and holds up really well to wear and tear. If you do the prep work right, painting the plastic can give a very good result as well.

Whichever you do we would want to see pics. :naughty:

I saw a pic that Silverbullet posted on the other forum that showed what they look like behind the plastic. Maybe he will come along and post it back up...I don't want to hot link to his pictures. It is definitely ugly behind it but I thought it looked the same (except for all of the glue that would have to ground off).
