Playing with Nitrous - 11.57 @ 113.28MPH

I made it back out today to test the nitrous for the first time. This past week I switched back down to 4.10 gears, installed 2 step colder Brisk Plugs, and had Sean send me a 100 shot and 150 nitrous tunes.

1st run was on motor - 12.32 @ 106.75

2nd run was on a 50 shot - 11.88 @ 110.50

3rd run was on a 100 shot - 11.57 @ 113.28

4th run was on a 150 shot - 11.85 @ 115.22 (Spun on this pass)

Was scared about breaking something on the bottle, so I towed it down there this time. New 2015 8sp, handled it well. I dont have a brake controller yet, so I had to start applying the brakes well ahead of time, but otherwise, it pulled it easily.

Bottom end is still stock, so the plan is to keep bumping up the nitrous until we find the breaking point or go 10.99.

Nice times though I am lazy and just prefer to take the GT500 or the new GT350 down the 1/4 for those times or lower. I say break the motor and drop in something else ie crate 426 lol

I already have a forged 392" ready to go in as soon as this one lets go. Ported 6.4 heads, dragpack intake, and direct port nitrous (300-400 shot). End goal is to see this truck run a 9.99.

Rear tires are Mickey Thompson 275/60/15's. After this trip, I may replace them with a true slick though.

It is a little red express with a diesel. I've seen him running that truck out here for years. Quickest I've seen it run is 10.2. He ran 10.8 @ only 21mph on that pass against me because he let out before the traps. We were in an 11 second index, and he didnt want to break out.

Sure makes my run look slow...haha.

Have you tried doing runs with and without a catch can to see the difference it makes?
But seriously, congrats on the great run. I know each tenth difference must be so satisfying.

I know what you mean,been caught by a pro tree to,ran practice as sportsman tree,then switched us up to a pro tree,and caught everybody off guard for a pass or too,okay you're off the hook,lol
