I have a 1994 Ram 3500, 4x4, regular cab, long bed, dual rear wheel, 5spd manual, Cummins, with a bad frame. I'm looking into buying a parts truck for the frame, and a few other parts I need.

From the research I've done so far, it looks like all frames from the 1994-1997 1500's, 2500's, and 3500's are the same, and still the same frame for 2 wheel drive, and 4 wheel drive...is this correct?

Hopefully some of the experts here will weigh in on this. I'd like to locate and buy even a 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive regular cab long bed 135" wheelbase truck, but I need to know if the frame would work.

Thanks,
Tim

from what i know 4wd frames are a little different from 2wd frames. a little more rigid...same with the 1500 and 2500 the 2500 is a little more beefed up but it shouldnt be different enough that youd have any trouble swapping. im sure a long bed 1500 would work but it will just be a little weaker. but you shouldnt have any trouble with the fitment. not an expert just done some research
