First tow on our 2020 Ram 2500 6.4 hemi. On second day out traveling from Arizona to Colorado the check engine light came on in southern Colorado. There was no degradation in performance or mileage experienced.
Called the Dodge dealer at my destination which was a couple hours away who told me he was backed up for almost two weeks. Dealer said he could get me in for a scan only in four days to determine if the issue was critical. The local NAPA garage at my destination ran a scan and came up with an air/fuel imbalance in bank 1.
After two days of driving around town at my destination the check engine light went off. I know that after a number of start/run/stop cycles without a fault that the light will go off. Called the dealer to cancel my appointment and I was told that they had been seeing a number of similar issues with the new 6.4 hemi engines. The service manager said that he expected there would be software update issued in the near future.
Anybody have any comments or information?
