I have perfectly good DDX-512 Kenwood I’d like to use. It’s old. Had it in my 2007 Ram. Is it even possible to do that in a 2017 truck? What module would I need to be able to run it through the factory Alpine amp? Tks

Should be able to. You will need a install kit and appropriate harnesses. Best bet is to contact Crutchfield or a local installer like Best Buy or independent audio seller.

You’ll have to figure out how to control system functions available in the uconnect head unit. Surely there’s a way but I’m no help...lol

If I did it again, I went with a 2015 8.4 with nav in my 2013 truck with the non nav. If I did it again I would get the pac audio Ram kit, love the way it looks. I should sell both 8.4 radios I have and buy it since I have a extra higher end double din laying around.
