2wd drives need not apply for steps.
Or stock height 4x4s 1500s really.. they are not that high up (unless yeah,4 feet tall).

It's alot of money for AMP steps and I am not sure it's be worth it. They'd be what 6" off the ground?

I have an r?t and have thought about it. Still on the fence with lowering so if I don't I would consider them. I am not short (5'11") and would like to make the step up easier. It would also make it easier for my daughter to get in.

I just don't want people sliding off my seats when they get out

Fwiw, I can see that being an issue of concern.

My truck is a bit higher off the ground, steps are nice for getting in.. but I don't even touch them getting out.

Im lifted 6 inches with bils at 2.1 and my amp steps come maybe a foot off the ground which is prefect stepping height. So Idk how well they'll do for you. They do come out far enough to have to use them on your way out.

I do have steps on my truck, they where 130 dollar ebay specials, they work and look good, but the rt looks so good with out steps and with the amps folding up and hiding, that would look slick but 1k$ is steap

Just wondering but How much do amp steps weigh compared to your average step you think ?

And yeah I have similar problems. My sis and mom battle getting in the truck sometimes cuz they are short lol

If you need steps for a "street" truck, definitely go with the AMP's. Just a real pet peeve of mine seeing nerf bars/steps on a street truck. They just look out of place.
