It's only good for about 1 amp so other than phone chargers it's not much good. When I bought my 19 Laramie the sales guy said the 19's were about 4 amps as the low output of the previous models cause more issues that they were worth. It's the salesman so grain-of-salt time but they are now 4 amps.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Low end power source, only maybe good for a phone, maybe low draw Laptop. I have an Inverter U plug into lighter, will run a laptop.

IF U WANT power, buy you a full sine Power Inverter. They come in all sorts of various sizes. U can even wire in if U want, or keep truck running and clip on battery. Only way to get real Power to run ne thing. Just think. Even a 4 amp circuit only good for a 440W appliance. (Spent too many years in Europe.) (Use this to figure what needed: AMPS X VOLTS === watts of appliance)..

Wife runs her hair dryer on low from ours. Works great but don't try to run it on any other speed.

I run a television, air condition, refrigerator, electric razor, and Christmas tree lights at the campsite...all at the same time...from the inverter in my diesel. Maybe it's your hemi's....just sayin'......:Good or Bad:

the olders ones were only good for 100-125 watts or so.

If you want to run more than that, get a standalone inverter that has battery clips on it and attach it to the battery directly when you want to use it.

I have a 300 watt one that goes into the cigarette lighter plug and while it does work, it makes that port a little too warm for continuous use at 300 watts. - 200 and below isn't too bad which will charge a laptop and several phones.

The inverter in your diesel is not the one that came from the factory. I'm guessing it's probably pushing 2K watts.

The inverters were wired in for 150 Watts with protection, with maximum short time output 400 Watts. NE thing beyond that is something aftermarket added. But Scottly if U have something bigger wired in, good for U. Since my Bighorn does not have an inverter (lol), if I want to run ne thing beyond my lil inverter I can plug into lighter, I would purchase a "sine" inverter and wire directly to battery with a fusible link...(guess for short time use and did not want to perm mount could use alligator clips)... But this is just me, and all IMHO.....
