On my 2011 1500, the driver's window intermittently gets stuck in "up" position ... once it goes down it always goes back up. it has never gotten stuck in "down" position. The other windows operate fine, Anyone else ever had this issue? Thx

Might need some lubricant on the mechanism in the door . Remove door panel and grease the tracks.

When it "sticks" do you have any indication that the switch is working like a sound or light dim? If not, you may have a switch that's failing.

The easy way for me to diagnose these types of issues is to get the window stuck in the "UP" position, remove the door trim panel and connect your test light to the back of the window switch to see if you have any "output power" from the switch. Then go directly to the window regulator motor and see if you have switched power going in to the motor.

If you have switched power at the motor and it will not go down then it is time for a motor. Now, if you do not have any power coming out of the switch you need to check for B+ Power coming in to the switch. Quick test: while the door panel is off and you are testing for power to the motor, when the motor will not go down give it a couple of solid taps with the handle of your hammer to see if it starts to work. Then go get a window regulator or motor if it is serviceable separately.

Hello Folks,

I am having the same problem, on my 2002 Ram 1500 SLT. All other windows work just fine both down and up. Actually the go up pretty fast! LOL

But just the driver door window, will not go down. If I flick the button I can get it to move like 1/4" at a time. When I can get my hand in the crack, I can push it down a few inches at a time. But I have to keep flicking the button "down and up."

After I get it fully down, it rolls right up! And I mean fast!

The tracks have been lubricated, the motor is new, but exhibiting the exact same problems as the old motor. The switch is new. I am getting 12v to the power motor pigtail, when I push the switch.

Everything looks right.

Now my window has some "slop" in it... I can wiggle it front to back a bit.

On the passenger side, the side that works perfectly, the window does not wiggle at all.

I loosened the front track, on the driver side to see if I could tighten up that wiggle, but there is no adjustment. It is either in or not.

I am stumped...

Can anybody help?

Well, I think I have it figured out. I believe it is my Amazon purchased replacement master switch.

What I discovered is that when I wanted to open the driver window, I would just pull the switch all the way back, which "should" invoke the auto down feature. It does not, it stops the window, right in its tracks.

But if I just pull the switch half-way back, I can open the window. And I can control it all the way down. Now I can then push the button forward and the window rolls right up.

So I am gonna see about an exchange. If not, I may buy another master switch from like LMC or someone like that.

I will report back my results.
