Good day all! New member here looking at purchasing a 17 1500 Laramie 4x4. MSRP is $51,905. I've negotiated the dealer down to $44,500 plus ttl. He has agreed to put in a spray-in bedliner and tint the windows. Trading in my car and they're giving me $500 over the NADA clean trade value. Seems pretty good. Thoughts?

since its a brand new model year ( just hitting the lots ), its an ok deal. I and many other pound the drum of 20% off sticker being the number to shoot for. Some do worse, some better, but 20% off sticker is a good deal. Some can get the 20%+ off even at the begining of the model year, most cant. If you wait a few months, than the 20%+ is doable.....depending on your area and dealer of course.

Your getting about 15% off sticker.......

being a 17 that seems like a number I could handle, waiting several months might see you saving 20%. Good luck.

Update: dealer tried some sneaky addin fees that I noticed while in the finance office. I walked out. Glad I did. I paid the deposit today on the same truck except a 16 at Dennis Dillon at 31% off.

I have always said it isn't the salesman you have to worry about, it is the finance guy.

My last truck I had, they gave me a crappy interest rate, with two people signing with excellent credit. I told him it was fine bc I was refinancing in a couple days. Suddenly the bank approved an almost 3% lower. He also got fired lol.
