Problem W/ Fillin the Tank

Wonder how the hell that broke off? If I am thinking correctly the filler neck can be removed from the tank on these trucks, bet its lodged in the stoppers in the neck to keep people from easly stealing your gas.

Yeah it's like a 1ft hose that is hose clamped, i'm bout to take it off and see!!!

Well, I went out there and tried to take off that hose, I can get the end off at the filler neck, but I'm not strong enough to pull it off the tank end. Just gonna have to get the bf to help me and take off my tire so I can get in there better. Fkn 100° outside.

I am HOPING that it's the problem. I'll let yall know what happens prolly gonna mess with it this wknd

i have a 26 gal tank but i dont have the metal flap on mine. but i dont have any problems either.

Well, I think I fixed it! I took off all the vent tubes and released all that pressure that was built up from all this 100° heat we've been havin. I couldn't get the hose off that goes from the filler neck to the tank, but I stuck a magnet down in it and if that metal flap was stuck in there, its in the tank now. But I went to the gas station this mornin and filled it on full blast and it didn't burp up the gas right off the bat like it was doin, it just kept goin right on in!!! I'm so happy!!!!!!

I don't have the flap at the top of the neck either....hmmm... glad you got it fixed!

I coulda SWORN i have seen a metal flap at the opening... i could be wrong but i just coulda sworn it was there lol... my step dad's 04 ram doesnt have one but maybe it came out on the sports? I dunno but I'm so glad it's workin again!!!!
