We are having a hard time finding a radio (or settings with Canbus) for our 2015 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Laramie Longhorn aftermarket android radio we purchased on Amazon.

We can't seem to get all of our factory speakers to work. Only the front left and front centre work; the radio thinks they are in the rear. The funny part is, when we disconnect the yellow audio rca cables, the music still plays.

Does anyone on here have the exact same truck and have you replaced your factory radio with one that has Android Auto/Apple Carplay? If so, which radio and canbus/module did you get in order to get it working. We want to keep our steering wheel and climate controls. The canbus that came with the radio, we had to select 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee in order to get most of the settings to work but it's still not a match.

I'm not overly all that knowledgeable with canbus/modules etc, so if someone can give me directions on how to accomplish replacing our radio with one that works with our model, I would be truly grateful!! Thank you!

It sounds like your Radio is not aware of the Alpine System. Typically their would be multiple settings for "Ram" to choose from in the CANBUS settings to address this OR the seller sells a specific radio for the Alpine setup.

I have the Junsun unit (I think they're pretty much all the same) in a 2015 Laramie. Mine works fine. I used these settings per instructions. "SimpleSoft, Chrysler/Jeep, and JEEP_XP04 Jeep Grand Cherokee/2018 Jeep Wrangler"

Do you have the link for your head unit? Is it the 2G 32G version?

This Is The Answer !! --> Junsun head unit using "SimpleSoft, Chrysler/Jeep, and JEEP_XP04 Jeep Grand Cherokee/2018 Jeep Wrangle" setting
Thank you GeauxinUp!! I think the real key here was the SimpleSoft module versus the CanBus module I kept getting. This was the 3rd head unit to try and everthing works without any effort!

So for anyone else wanting to replace their unit, make sure your module is the SimpleSoft one, and I recommend the Junsun head unit like GeauxinUp mentioned. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Little to no effort for installation!

GeauxinUp, what is the external speaker for? We couldn't figure that one out. We connected it like it states to do.. but what exactly is it supposed to do? For us, it doesn't do anything when we put the truck in reverse. Our camera works, with the guidelines, and the sensors work also. Will the sensors not work if we didn't plug in that small speaker?
