Puck swap for Shark fin

Hi anybody know anything about Replacing my puck xm for a shark fin on a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab ST( back left side of roof ?

How much

And a video link instructing how to install would be helpful.

If any other year other than 2017 fits my 2017 Ram I am ok with also as long as it is a Shark fin and fits. I love the look rather than the puck.

I needed a replacement for my 2013, and I believe the 17 is the same body. I got mine from a dealer on ebay,

Aren’t the two different types located on different parts of the roof? Is so the curvature is probably different and would they be able to swap (aka just make sure the shape of the base of the two are the same).

actually, the location was attributed to where it was manufacturer, IIRC. Canada assembly put the antenna in the front of the cab, Mexico put it in the back.

Actually it's just the opposite, mine was built at the Warren plant and it's at the back. A co-workers has it in the front and it was built in Mexico. I remember reading the same here before as well.

Curious what the reason you want to go to a fin from the puck? My 2014 has a fin on driver side rear and was wondering if I could swap to the puck (just to make sure it didn’t get hit)

Mine is mounted near the left front. I'm kind of curious as well, I would prefer the looks of a puck over the sharkfin. I think the the sharkfin serves the GPS & Satellite radio, where a puck is a single function antenna, from what I was told anyway.

My 14 reg cab express has puck left front with Sat Radio . My 17 Sport has fin left front Sat plus GPS both naturally built in Mexico
