Puddle light circuit?

I have this idea where I put led strips on the bottom of my truck so when I unlock it, they light up the steps and the ground around the truck. I have a 12 express. Where can I tap so that they only come on when I unlock the truck?

it would have to be the dome light circuit, in my 04 i used one of the wires in the a-pillar, im sure it will be similar to the new trucks too...
