The fact that my puddle lights are clear bothers me. I would like to change this.

My question is...

Is there a way to darken them without removing them?

I just dont know about busting into the lights. From what I read, there are quite a few things that can go wrong. Water condensation, ect. And supposedly they dont even make the same lights now. I havent studied on this subject nearly enough, so those may or may not be correct. Regardless, my question stands because im not into removing them anyway.

Any advise on how to get them a bit darker? :hmm:

Thanks to any possible answerers!

Easiest solution would be some of the stick on tint. If you don't like it, just peel it off. Otherwise, you can spray over them with something like Niteshades, but you would have to be careful to tape everything off properly to prevent overspray from getting on the rest of the truck.

Not to mention the scuffing up and polishing stages!!!!! Be kind of a rough go of it I would imagine. My luck? I would definitely mess that up for sure.

I removed mine to do some nightshades, and it was a pretty big PITA. It came out alright, but I went to dark, and couldn't get them to shine. I think the stick on tint, is a great idea!

Well I ended up just taping and spraying them with the VHT Nigtshades while they were still on the truck. The taping was brutal, but in the end it came out perfectly. Its a bit more difficult to get the shading perfect because of the distance between them. But having the abilty to open a door and see them shine helped a bunch. They are dark enough and still shine just as bright as they did before. I was really shocked. Cant believe how muc of a difference it makes.

Thanks for all the help yall!
