Here is my initial impression of the pulsar. I do feel a slight pick up not huge but noticeable. Mileage has went down some but the 300 miles has been on performance so I haven't been nice lol. I have it stacked my pc which is set on sport +3 which took some relearning not to just do burnouts lol super touchy. I would have been disappointed if I had bought it new I can say that. But for 250 shipped and I needed something to change tire size anyway it was well worth the 250. Obviously custom tune would be much better but like my warranty. O and drum roll please......... been chatting with edge about the next update custom tuning is heavily in the works from what I was told on the phone and again in an email. So that's pretty exciting. I would say if you want your warranty but a little extra go for it but dont expect shocking gains. If you can get it used and cheap I think under 300 is well worth it. Now once custom tuning is available depending if we get the good tuners behind it I think 500 wouldbe a steal. Just my honest unbiased opinion. Again not gonna blow you away but the truck is slightly quicker for sure.
Ease of install if your truck cooperates: 10 my truck a 3 damn clips were stuck lol should have took 5 mins took an hr.

Gains: for what I paid 9 if it was full price 5.

Ease of use: 8 only because if you forget to activate cruise and hit it you will change the "tune".

Overall: 9 at the price I paid if I would have paid full price 5.

Major PITA to get mine on, in, but its in there!

WD40 and Air Compressor to clean PCM connectors is paramount if your truck is not brand spanking new. Those red levers are so stupid!

So WOW man I noticed a BIG difference in performance mode with MDS off, I'm running 93 Sunoco.

I also have a K&N cai (63-1561) and Exhaust upgrade (Solo). And removed mech fan to free up used HP off the crank.

My truck pulls a lot harder now! I love it!

Did you install a v6 E-fan or are you running with the stock AC cooler fan only?

Not yet, I'm on the fence to do it. Reason is i might be just putting mech fan back on and doing just the grill shutter delete and 180 tstat only.

It appears I cant program v6 efan to come on earlier with out modding the PCM which I'm not doing.

That's what i did on mine, just deleted the grill shutters. I also added a 12oz bottle of Redline water wetter coolant additive. I'm happy with that.

I run in 8 mds off all the time and MPG actually went up, but I'm buying 91 so it probably evens out. I sold my Pedal Commander because in 8 I didn't feel like I needed it. I think truck pulls quite a bit harder, but am pretty pumped about your custom tune discussions with them.

Also broke a red clip putting it on. Should have been easy and took 2 minutes but the clips were a pain.

It appears your use is a race truck. But not all of us want a race truck, so the product still has its use. I wanted better towing performance while retaining warranty AND EPA emissions This product does all of that.

Appreciate your experience, but also note your purpose and application.
