First I will start off by saying, I don’t care about the tunes, horsepower gains, none of that. I’m not interested in doing a PCM swap, my luck I would loose my other PCM for when and if I have to take it in for warranty work.
With that out of the way I’ll begin

I hate MDS but since I have a express I can’t shut if off like the Laramies. Right now I’m shifting into 8th gear every time I drive it, but it’s starting to get a tad bit annoying. I’ve been looking at the pulsar to have MDS shut off, change my speedo for my 325/60r20s and a future regear. (3:92:D) Anyone on here running it? Has it been good for you? Is it easy to shut MDS off, change tire/gear sizes without the in cab monitor? Any insight would be helpful or if there’s a better (NON PCM SWAP) option out there. Thanks!!!

Convert, for now.

I talked to the guys at Holley, parent company, and he suggested the 2019 model Pulsar, it has all new updates. If I keep my truck, I plan to get one as well.
Love the idea to kill MDS....and to quit changing to 8 on gear selector each time I drive it.

Yes, you can turn MDS off and it stays off when you re-start. The +15 hp mode is nice and no pinging on mine even with 87 octane but it really needs the pedal commander to have the right feel.

I've had a Pulsar from when they first came out. I love being able to disable MDS. I usually keep it in setting 8, but it's got a a a hair pin trigger and takes getting used to. Setting 6 is more ideal for daily driving with more response and a bit more oomph.

Lots of people are running the pulsar and really like it on the 1500. If you would like a quote, send me a message.

Pulsar did not disable MDS on my 2017 Power Wagon and in the last month it has been giving me the popular Throttle and check engine light that everyone is saying on these forums so I had to remove it.
