I don't think youll have a problem with that woofer playing down to at least 80hz, are you using the passive crossovers?

Yeah I would forgo the rears they are just going to make it a muddy mess with those nice comps you have upfront. Give your subs a point of about 60hz with a soft roll off of 6-12db and see how that sounds blending with the fronts.

Thats probably what i will end up doing. I could always bridge my 4 channel to 300x2

Right that would help output a ton and it would make rears useless anyways.

You know my original thought was to run my rear output to the doors and use a 6x9 woofer. Then take a 4" component set and run them in the dash.

I technically could still do that :)

absolutely you can do that but without a DSP it really is going to sound odd. Well to me it would sound odd but I've been spoiled with the tuning capabilites of my headunit.

In a good 3way setup I don't think there should be any gap from midbass to sub bass the added speakers will really make it a nightmare. The subs should also be able to make up any missing midbass.

There wont be any gaps. The 6.5" midbass in my R/T were playing down to 55 hz with a little overlap...the sub played up to 63 hz.

You should....it changes everything.
I competed all this year in MECA....no way I could have gone undefeated like I did without running active. Passives just leave too much on the table. There's a learning curve but it's well worth it.

I agree 100%^^
It sends your sound quality into a level you literally can NOT imagine.
One of those things where you say to yourself "why didn't I do this sooner!?"
Putting my tweeters on-axis was another one of those moments as well

Ok so this weekend I got the wiring done. I used the dash leads as my front high level input and the rear door leads as my rear high level input. I am noticing the the rears seem to have more frequency response. I was under the understanding that the front doors and front dash leads had no difference that they both put out the same sound and it was not divided by the factory.

Before i go pulling it apart to wiring the fronts summed to pick up what i am believe to be missing can anyone tell me if i truly am missing something. Or is the factory fronts just that sadly deprived of all the frequencies of the factory radio?

Well I answered my own question. By factory default the front are set to high pass (both the dash and the door) and the rears are full range.

I know in a way this is dumb but i reversed them. I am now using the rear inputs for my fronts and the front inputs for my rears. This way I have a full-range signal to drive my 3 way components. Sounds 100 times better! The only stupid thing is my fader works in reverse….lol.
