push button map lights for express

I posted this on another forum as well, so if you saw it there and answered that's cool.

I have a 2012 express crew cab. I know I can spend the cash and purchase the full overhead console but then that opens a whole can of worms. All I would like to have is two simple push on/off map lights. My wife's trail blazer has just two lights overhead, no console. Is this possible? I'm not overly concerned with having them come on with the dome and all that but the way I understand with the console conversion the wiring is already there. Thanks.

I'm interested in this as well. Although my dealer said they couldn't get the whole console and I haven't had any luck finding one on ebay.

I've noticed a few different ford consoles that are about the same size and have map lights and sunglasses holder, but not sure if I want to put ford parts in my dodge...

Yea you'd probably lose a couple mpg adding ford parts lol

the lip is there, I don't necessarily need the whole piece, I just want the lights, aftermarket would be fine with me. My passengers **** me off beating on the ceiling looking for them lol. Oh and haha, there's quite a difference between an express and an r/t

Lol, yea, I have a feeling the truck gods would smite me for something like that.

I thought about getting the dome light out of a newer silverado cause it has 2 bulbs in it and a button for each. The ram sits next to my camaro all night long and they haven't fought yet, so I think that would be okay. But I think a small light might look weird in that giant bulge in the headliner.
