I want to put the mini d2s 5.0 in my factory 2014 ram 2500 halogen quads what all do I need? I searched the forum but did not really find anything useful. Maybe I used the wrong wording.

Save yourself some money and just enable HIDs in alphaobd over buying a harness for them.

What you need:

Parts:
- D2S 5.0 Projector
- Your choice of projector shrouds
- D2S Bulbs, Ballast & D2S Ignitors
- Motoholders aka d2s bulb holders
- Retrorubber aka headlight sealent
- YOU DO NOT NEED A RELAY HARNESS IF YOU PURCHASE ALPHAOBD!

Software For HID Reprogram:
- OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth OBD Device
- AlphaOBD Android or PC Software

Tools:
- Dremel (to bore out stock bulb hole to mount projector)
- Flathead screwdrivers or Morimoto Splitter Tool
- vice grips or c-clamps to clamp headlight while you glue drys for tight seal.

Best advice I can give is do not buy a relay harness, all you need is the ballast and igniter. But AlphaOBD instead of a relay harness. It costs about the same or less and you don’t have to deal with all the wires and relays and resistors. Plus after your done you can use AlphaOBD for all sorts of other upgrades in your truck.

I ran a set of LED high beam projectors in the high beam spot. Profile Hi-Lens

https://www.ramforum.com/threads/my-head-light-build-thread-so-far.130772/

I have also ran the Profile Hi Lens LED in my high beam on a couple sets of personal retrofits, as well as having installed it on tons of customer builds and I’ve never gotten a single complaint and I love it on my old quad build... now I’m building a set of the 2019 style AlphaRex lights for my personal vehicle. Can’t wait...

You could also just put a LED bulb in there or just leave it a regular halogen bulb run off of a high beam splitter so that the other side connects to the solenoid for the high beam shutter for the projector.
