I read several threads lately and am trying to put together a "wish list".

Someone had mentioned the matchbox projectors - do those require extensive modification to make them work? One thread I looked at almost made it seem like they bolted in the location of the existing bulb...

That is also a bi-xenon projector. Is the high beam bulb left in place or would it be feasible to put two matchbox projectors in the assembly (high and low)?

What about this assembly on eBay and just eliminate the high beam?

Thanks.

For your main projector you can use a mini H1 projector and get much better output than the matchbox projector. As a plus you can keep your factory highbeam bulb and trigger both when you switch to your highs for extra light.

As Greg said, the h1 is a better output projector. It has a threaded pole to go through the existing bulb hole. You will still have to bake them open. That single projector provides low and high beam but you could squeeze a match box in the high location. You might even be able to wire them up to run quad low and high beams. But if you are opening them up, I too would use a mini h1 projector or d2s. I would contact jj at retroshop or the guys at theretrofitsource for more advice.
