This is not a for sale add. I’m looking for advice on an asking price for my truck.
I have a 2014 Ram 1500 Crew with 25,352 miles, bighorn, NAV moon roof and many extras. I live in NJ it has never seen a winter road and garage kept. No dents, no paint issues nothing.
It’s has 2” level with the 5100 shock all around, new wild peaks 275/65R20. Led lights, catch can, cold air intake caliper covers and many more upgrades. Interior is spotless. I would say the new car smell still lingers.
So my question is trade in on Kbb is 32k-34k. If I was to sell it private sale what should I ask? To I take into consideration all the upgrades? Or just take a loss on them. Or am I just way off on the Kbb value?
Thank you in advance for any input.

Most folks don't consider upgrades into the sale of vehicles. I traded in my 1500 and the Nittos, Air assist springs and the HID/LED projector headlights didn't make a difference.

KBB should also show private party sale. The private sale price will be higher then trade in price. Then compare it to prices similar trucks that are being sold in your area. Start off a little high because you can always come down if you need to.

I'd be willing to bet it made a difference on the dealers resale though.

I absolutely despise the dealer games when in the market for a vehicle.

When I bought mine, it was about 1-1/2 hours from home. Went there on a Saturday. Was 80% sure it was good. I went back the next day with the father in-law to get his input just in case I missed anything.

Seemed like it took all day to get paperwork done.

It seems they make it ALOT more complicated then it needs to be.

Without knowing what is going on behind the scenes, trust me when I say it’s a streamlined process. We want you out of there just as fast as you do, believe me lol
