Question for 4.88 guys with 35's

The thing about tow haul is it downshifts easier when needed and downshifts when slowing down, which translates into less strain on the trans and brakes. I usually always have the tow haul on when towing even the smallest of trailers.

Isnt 5th sitting around 2400rpm at 65mph (cant remember off the top of my head)? Right about where'd I'd want to be as the torque is coming on strong.

Yeah, but Im in Texas, where 65 will get you run over on the freeway, and many farm to market roads. I was looking at 75, which puts it at around 2700 in 5th gear.

I have tow haul on exclusively. Towing or not

2700 is fine.

I drive in 6th at 80-85 mph at 2500-2700RPM’s. Just did it last weekend for over 6 Hour drive. Hemi’s like anywhere from2500-2700 cruising.

4.88’s and 35’s
