Quick headlight question

Hi new to the forum, I've been lurking around for some time even before I had my truck, I'll get some pics of the truck asap.

Anyways I'm looking at baking apart and colour matching my heads, right now they are chrome and the quad style headlights, so in case I mess up I want to have a spare set laying around. A guy locally is selling a set for a 2011 for $150 also quads, will those fit in my 2015.

And also, I'm pretty sure there were some changes as far as output goes on the quad style headlights does anyone know what year this happened.

What kind of design changes, are the 2015s better in any way

Not that I noticed. They were very small changes. I think it started with the 13's. If I remember right is was somewhere around the corner reflector light

Yes the 09-12 ones will fit. They did change the quads in 2013 slightly. I've run both the 09-12 ones and the '13+ ones that the '13+ ones do have slightly better light output IMO. Plus I think they look better.

FYI - they're a complete pain to bake apart and reseal up. Definitely harder than most make it out to be. I believe the 13+ ones are harder to do than the 09-12 ones (they changed the sealant). Also, if you plan on leaving any part of the shroud chrome be VERY careful with it. It scratches easily and shows through the black plastic from underneath.

What color is your truck? I'm pulling my color matched quads out of my truck this weekend and would consider selling them if you're interested.

My truck is the same color as yours, i can get them locally for $150 and i dont mind the diy lol.
